im right in the middle of this! hoo boy. we have a lot of city run camps around here that for us, are pretty affordable. but they can be hard to get into, and for some kids a little too unstructured. sigh.

There's some sort of Venn diagram of, like, affordable, meets your child's needs, and something you can actually get your kid registered for in time ... and there is nothing at the center of that chart lol

If you can send to grandparents for a few weeks, I highly recommend it. For their relationship, your relationship, free range Farmer homestead would do any kid good. And you’ll all appreciate each other when it’s over.

You are not the problem! This is a systemic problem! Not all grandparents can or want to provide full time child care all summer long. My parents have 8 grandkids ranging from 15 to 4 years old...they are not the answer. Let's figure this out together this summer..
